Wrapped in turquoise waters and pink beaches, tiny Bermuda is a dreamy island escape. Sweet frangipani trees grow between pastel buildings with bright white roofs. Bermuda’s culture and topography are beautifully varied, and there is no shortage of art galleries, museums, golf courses, trails, and quiet corners to fill a vacation checklist. Stroll the tight streets and connected islands of 400-year-old St. George’s Parish, the oldest English settlement in the New World. Create your own adventure with boat tours, fishing charters (marlin, tuna, and wahoo) or swim with dolphins!

After two days of delectable dining and pampered relaxation aboard the small and intimate Norwegian Dawn (amenities include spas, a fitness centre, and a casino), tie up at Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard in the early afternoon and take the time to explore this limestone barracks-turned-mall that is packed with restaurants, pubs and markets.

Then, you have two full days to explore – DeNure’s included excursion introduces you to Bermuda’s unique culture and heritage, and your 2-day transit pass makes it easy to access colonial landmarks, nature at its prettiest, food at its fullest, and shops that carry the island’s namesake shorts! Perhaps visit the Clayworks and Glassworks, grab some grub at the Frog and Onion (located in a 200 year old cooperage), or try a signature Bermuda rum cake!

When it’s time to say farewell to the island vibe, sail back to Boston, where you’ll experience a guided city tour and take time for lunch in Quincy Market.

Exploring Bermuda

BUSES: The island’s buses are frequent, plentiful, and service most areas of interest. You can’t miss them – they are painted pink with blue stripes! With 11 routes, the transportation system has the entire island covered. Route 7 is the most convenient as it travels between King’s Wharf and Hamilton.

FERRIES: Four public ferry routes offer a picturesque transit alternative. These relaxed sea routes offer a superb sea or harbour crossing with unrivalled scenery. The popular orange ferry route runs directly from King’s Wharf to the historic town of St. George.

OTHER: Rental cars are not available anywhere on the island, but at only 21 square miles in size, Bermuda is easy and safe to navigate by smaller modes of transport. Rent a scooter (moped), bicycle (pedal bike), hybrid electric bike, or segway. Taxis and carriage rides round out your options! Note that Bermudians drive on the left, and the speed limit is a slow 20mph!
