Canada’s East coast thrums with sea birds, fiddles, and crashing waves. The Maritime history is one of song, stories, salt spray, and sweaters. DeNure guests feel this history up-close as we take in the Celtic culture that keeps Canada’s Atlantic edge humble.
To maximize every Maritime minute, we’ll fly to Moncton and travel by motorcoach to Halifax for a 4-night stay. A highlight of your time here is the Royal Nova Scotia Military Tattoo. In addition to attending a performance, you will also experience a guided tour of the Citadel and a special Garrison dinner. We’ll also take a day to relax and breathe in the salty ocean breeze of Peggy’s Cove and see the rainbow-painted colonial buildings of Lunenburg (the prettiest small town in Canada).
Baddeck kicks the door open on authentic Celtic culture! Feel the stomp of a Cape Breton ceilidh. See preserved artifacts in the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. Sip North America’s first single malt whisky at the Glenora Distillery. Wind your way along the rugged Cabot Trail, one of Canada’s most photographed scenic drives.
Put a bib to work in Shediac as you feast on lobster. Lift your spirits at a Miramichi kitchen party, and pay tribute to Acadian culture at Le Pays de la Sagouine. Step back in time during a guided tour of Fredericton, followed by dinner at Kings Landing. Feel the magic of the Maritimes in every moment of “Canada’s Celtic Roots,” a tour designed just for you by DeNureTours.
Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo
Drums are pounded and bagpipes squeezed in Halifax! Come see the tartaned military tattoo that’s been thrilling audiences since 1979. The top-rated Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo – awarded TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence – is a show that combines traditional military marches with modern performances like trampoline routines, acrobatics, and dance. Later this evening you will have the pleasure of enjoying a Garrison dinner as part of your Tattoo experience.
Halifax is an oceanside city that brims with historic buildings and military history. The impressive hilltop Halifax Citadel, a star-shaped fort that has watched over the seaside city for 268 years! Canada’s most visited national historic site, the Citadel houses the Army Museum.
