Oh by golly we’ll have a holly jolly Christmas this year in the Berkshires! Stately, friendly, and nestled in a valley, Williamstown was made for blankets of snow and hot chocolate by warm fires. This cozy college town holds an impressive collection of theatres, galleries, museums, festivals, poets, and professors in an intimate pastoral setting. We’ll absorb New England’s charm by day, staying at the lovely Williams Inn at night.
We’ve packed your Christmas in Williamstown with tradition: tree decorating, a holiday movie, candlelight services, Christmas presents, and a midday Christmas feast. But you’re also in for a rich cultural experience of exceptional art institutions, exhibits, and festivals. “The Clark” features a collection of European and American works of art from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century – Degas, Monet, and over thirty Renoirs! In the air there’s a feeling of Christmas as we enjoy three miles of light works that make the night merry and bright. One of the Northeast’s holiday traditions and a magical experience, Bright Nights strings 650,000 twinkling bulbs in 450 displays. There’s still so much to see! The Berkshire Museum’s Festival of Trees, the Berkshire Cottages and Stockbridge including the Norman Rockwell Museum all dressed in holiday style!
