Day 1: Travel to Saratoga, NY
Begin your vacation aboard our comfortable motorcoach, making using of the onboard amenities like free WiFi, extra legroom and satellite radio. Drive a picturesque route to Saratoga. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with President James Madison and his wife Dolley! An advocate for a strong federal government, James Madison composed the first drafts of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, earning him the nickname “Father of the Constitution.”

Day 2: Guided tour of Saratoga, NY
Start your exploration of sophisticated Saratoga with a guided tour with a costumed guide providing lively narrative. A visit to the National Horse Museum is a way to learn more about the tremendous impact that thoroughbred racing has had on Saratoga’s growth and history.
Day 3: Norman Rockwell Museum
Today, explore the postcard perfect town of Stockbridge, including time for lunch and shopping. Visit the Norman Rockwell Museum, home to the largest collection of the artist’s works, as well as the studio where he created some of the America’s most beloved paintings. A guided tour of the Berkshire Cottages introduces you to the decadent homes in the region. Approximately seventy-five estates were built in Lenox and Stockbridge, Massachusetts (these aren’t the cottages you are accustomed to!) Then travel to Newport where the summer homes are social and architectural landmarks which transformed Newport from a quiet summer colony to a legendary neighbourhood of opulent stone palaces.

Day 4: Coastal mansion tour
With a step on guide offering entertaining narrative, continue discovering the mansions of Newport and beyond. Tucked away on Ochre Point Avenue, Breakers Mansion will be a highlight of your day. The Breakers mansion is the crown jewel of Newport Rhode Island mansions. Built between 1893 and 1895, this National Historic Landmark cost more than $7 million dollars (equal to $150 million today) and was the summer home of Cornelius Vanderbilt II. At Marble House, take your time to admire the opulence on a self guided audio tour. A visit to Newport Mansions Stables is a worthwhile way to spend your free time.
Day 5: Mark Twain House, Scranton, NY
Today visit iconic Mark Twain House, a National Historic site and home to an eclectic collection of the author’s manuscripts and belongings. Twain often said that the happiest and most productive years of his life were spent in his Hartford home. Enjoy a guided tour of house then embark on a self guided tour of the museum. A tasty lunch is included. Travel to Scranton in the afternoon.
