Canada’s Maritimes Tour

Crisscross the Maritimes in coach-comfort, stopping at postcard-perfect sites at every turn on Canada’s Maritimes Tour. Salty ocean air, easy walking tours, and ample free time make this sightseeing tour of Canada’s East Coast provinces a longtime favourite.

Carved by the majestic St. John River over millions of years, New Brunswick’s Grand Falls Gorge is a gift to cameras! Join a raucous Miramichi kitchen party before crossing the 12 km Confederation Bridge to PEI. Walk the island’s capital, taste jam at the PEI Preserve Company and of course, explore the Green Gables Heritage Centre.

Lunenburg, Peggy’s Cove, and a cruise along the Cabot Trail, Canada’s most scenic drive, are show-stoppers. A guided tour of Halifax followed by free time to explore is a city highlight. Another guided tour and free time in historic Quebec City makes a splendid grand finale on the way home

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

One hour from Halifax, the colourful town of Lunenburg sits snug on the shore of southern Nova Scotia. Home to only 2,300 permanent residents, Lunenburg was named the most beautiful small town in Canada and is a UNESCO World Heritage site (that’s why King Street’s nickname is the “UNESCO fresco”). Most of the original colonial buildings stand today, their facades freshly-painted in candy apple red, cobalt, and lemon. The past has been preserved here like a museum. A guided walking tour of Lunenburg starts at the Academy and finishes at the Fisherman’s Memorial. As you stroll, you might hear a blacksmith’s hammer echo through the streets from the wharf, or possibly the iconic Bluenose II which is sometimes anchored there.
