Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos

Stroll the historic towns of the Turks & Caicos where fragrant gardens drape over white stone walls and shipwrecks slumber offshore. Small and lovely, the narrow streets prove fine enough for wild donkeys and horses going from somewhere to somewhere else. Not rushing to move forward, the past lives happily here, and the calm blue water is perfect for a quiet dip.

Meals: B, L, D

Day12

Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

Marvel at the geographic diversity of the Dominican where green velvet mountains dip down to  historic pirate coves. The gingerbread homes of Puerto Plata recall days of the past, when buccaneers and mutineers hid in turquoise bays and conquistadors marched the cobbled streets.  Tour a rum factory or explore an historic fortress. Get off the beaten path, or sunbathe on it. But whatever you do, make sure you eat. The local flavours are an absolute treat for your taste buds.

Check out the gold mine ruins and dive into seafood platters
beachside.

Willemstad, Curaco

Curaçao has gabled row houses the colour of sun-bleached candy, a historic capital, and Latino-Caribbean dishes served with local blue liqueur. A few miles from Venezuela, Curaçao feels like a pastel piece of Europe with wild, undeveloped stretches outside the city. Founded in 1634 by the Dutch, the island weaves a friendly mix of African, Latin America, English, and Creole cultures that make the island’s food and music absolutely fantastic. With beaches aplenty, a thriving art scene, famous caves, and historical Willemstad (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Curaçao is an often-overlooked gem

The pace of a tour varies by itinerary, as each destination, its sightseeing and the activities are unique. Pacing is often subject to personal interpretation, but our trip pace indicator on each tour page may assist you in determining if a tour is suitable for you.

Day-by-day itinerary descriptions can be found on our website or requested from our office. Generally, the more activities included, distance travelled in a day, or number of hotel changes, will increase the pace of a tour.

Some of the most unique sightseeing is found in locations that can be a challenge for motorcoaches, especially in historic areas. For your comfort, we recommend packing walking shoes so you fully enjoy every aspect of your holiday.

Tours with the highest “On-the-go” ratings require a level of activity that is not suitable for those who use either walkers or wheelchairs. If a trip pace is not ideally suited for you, our reservations team will be happy to help you find your perfect vacation.
