9/11 Memorial Museum

Located within the archaeological heart of the original World Trade Centre, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum honours the nearly 3,000 people killed in the September 11th, 2001 attacks as well as the six people killed in the February 1993 bombing of the North Tower. Through state-of-the-art multimedia exhibits, archives and monumental artifacts, the Museum tells the story of not only the fallen, but also recognizes the thousands who survived and who showed extraordinary courage and compassion in the catastrophe’s aftermath.

One World Trade Centre/ Observatory

Evening walk across the Brooklyn Bridge

The iconic Brooklyn Bridge with its beautiful, imposing stone arches, connects Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Heights  In 1883, when it was completed, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world. For pedestrians, the walkway is about 1.6 km long, and the views are spectacular!

Day 1: Travel to Scranton, PA

Board the coach and relax as we cross into the United States through Niagara Falls and make our way to Scranton, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, settle into your room, then enjoy a cocktail reception and a relaxing dinner while getting to know your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Scranton, PA to New York City

Start your day with a full breakfast as we head into New York City. The absolute best way to arrive in Manhattan is by water. Board the ferry at Liberty State Park in New Jersey and have the afternoon to explore both Liberty Island and Ellis Island before meeting the coach at Battery Park in New York City. Then, it’s on to your hotel in the heart of Times Square. The evening is free for you to start exploring New York, Your Way.

Day 3: Guided tour of New York City, Explore the city Your Way 

After breakfast, get your bearings with an overview introduction to the city with a 3-hour guided tour, returning to the hotel at around lunch time.  The rest of the day is yours to explore. If you haven’t already made plans for your adventure, your Tour Director will be on hand to help with suggestions and directions.

Day 4: New York City, Your Way 

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before you head out to experience all that New York has to offer. Perhaps you plan on visiting Central Park by carriage and enjoying a Broadway show, or maybe your bucket list includes museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim or the 9/11 Memorial Museum.  Wherever your interests lie, you have a full day to explore New York Your Way!

Day 5: New York City  to Syracuse, NY 

Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to the Big Apple.  After breakfast, we depart from the city and head to Destiny USA, 250 places to shop, dine and play: retail and outlet shopping, restaurants, mini golf, an antique carousel, and more!  This evening, join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner and share your wonderful memories and discoveries in New York.

Day 6: Journey Homeward

With wonderful memories of your visit to New York City it is time to head for home. We will make one last stop in Niagara Falls, NY for lunch before visiting the Duty Free and crossing back into Canada.

The Hilton Scranton & Conference Center provides all the comforts and amenities guests look forward to when travelling: an indoor pool, an on-site restaurant, and clean, comfortable rooms. This is a perfect stopover hotel to get to know your fellow travellers.

New York Marriott Marquis, Times Square, New York City, NY (3 nights)

The location of this hotel says it all. You will be staying at a marquis location in the heart of Times Square! This newly renovated Marriott hotel is an iconic fixture that captures the vibrance and spirit of Manhattan. Stepping outside, on West 46th and Broadway, be immediately immersed in the energy of the city, with some of New York’s most famous and exciting attractions nearby, just waiting to be experienced. After a day of sightseeing, return to quiet, spacious accommodations; a place to relax and recharge.

Embassy Suites by Hilton, East Syracuse, NY (1 night)

Conveniently located off I-90, and close to several downtown Syracuse attractions, this Embassy Suites hotel provides comfortable rooms and an included made-to-order breakfast. 

This 6-day day tour follows pickup Route B, and includes our unique Connections Program.  The pickup locations are:

We recommend comfortable rubber-soled shoes for the walking tours as well as the ferry.

This itinerary includes a ferry ride. Although for most people medication is not required, there may be some who may want to bring along a remedy for motion sickness.  You don’t want to let a little thing like that spoil this amazing experience.
