        Enjoy beautiful autumn colours and comfortable temperatures. After the busy summer, the Cape is less crowded yet attractions are still open and ready to welcome visitors. 


        Famous Sites & Hidden Gems

        See the famous Plymouth Rock, explore the historic Plymouth harbourfront, go whale watching or dune buggy riding. Hyannisport was a much-loved place of retreat for the Kennedys, and see the mansions of Newport,  built for the rich and famous of yesteryear.

      • Day-to-Day Itinerary

        Day 1:  Albany, NY

        Start your journey south, travelling through Ontario. There will be breaks for lunch, to visit the duty-free, and for a stretch or snack in the afternoon before arriving at our hotel in Albany.  Enjoy an included dinner and get to know your fellow travellers.

        Stay: Holiday Inn Express, Albany, NY (1 night)

        Day 2: Plymouth & Cape Cod, MA

        After breakfast, the journey continues to Plymouth, MA, arriving in time for lunch.  View Plymouth Rock, and explore the historic and picturesque Plymouth harbourfront.  Then it’s back on the coach to continue the drive to the Cape.  Arrive at the Red Jacket Beach Resort and be welcomed with a wine and cheese reception before dinner.

        Stay: Red Jacket Inn, South Yarmouth, MA (3 nights)

        Day 3: Lower Cape” Tour and Adventures

        “The Lower Cape” is towards the outer tip of Cape Cod.  This is an area of quaint villages, old family cottages with stunning purple and blue hydrangeas, sand dunes, and lighthouses. In the morning, a local guide will provide insights into the Chatham area, including a visit to the Chatham Lighthouse. After enjoying lunch in Provincetown, choose your afternoon adventure:  either a whale-watching cruise or a Suburban Dune Buggy Ride.

        Day 4: “Mid Cape” Tour of Hyannis, Lobster Dinner

        Hyannis is bustling and Hyannis Port is full of historic sites. Your guided tour of this area includes Saint Francis Xavier Church, the JFK Memorial, the JFK Museum, and the Sandwich Glass Museum. In the afternoon, relax and enjoy the amenities at the resort, and then be treated to a lobster dinner.

        Day 5: Newport Tour and Cruise

        This morning, we depart Cape Cod, and in Rhode Island, a local guide will join us, providing insights as we tour Newport. While we’ll view several mansions in passing, for the Breakers Mansion, enjoy a self-guided tour inside. In the afternoon, we’ll see Newport from the water, with a scenic cruise of the Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. Some points of interest include Newport’s Yacht Club, Jacqueline Kennedy’s summer home, The Newport Bridge, and the Rock House.

        Day 6: Stockbridge & Norman Rockwell Museum

        Today, begin the journey home with a stop in Stockbridge, MA. This charming town, nestled in the Berkshires, has several gift shops and boutiques to browse and interesting places for lunch. Then, head to the Norman Rockwell Museum for a guided tour of the gallery. From there, it’s not far from our hotel in Syracuse. After checking in, enjoy a group farewell dinner.

        Day 7: Bloomington to Frankenmuth, MI 

        After breakfast, we’ll head westward to Niagara Falls, and after lunch, there’ll be an opportunity to, once again, browse the duty-free shop at the border. During the afternoon, as new friends and fellow travellers are dropped off, remember your fun adventures together on Cape Cod.

        A sweater or light jacket and a portable umbrella are always a good idea. Don’t forget a sun hat, sunglasses, sunblock, and most importantly, your camera!


        This itinerary includes a couple of boat cruises. Although for most people medication is not required, there may be some who may want to bring along a remedy for motion sickness. You don’t want to let a little thing like that spoil these amazing experiences.
