    Day 1: Castle Kilbride, Mennonite Story & Dinner, St. Jacob’s Country Playhouse 

    Board the coach and travel to Castle Kilbride for a guided Victorian Christmas experience, where the historic home is beautifully decorated for the season. Learn the history, culture, and faith of the Mennonite and Amish communities in the Waterloo region with a visit to a replica Old Order Mennonite meetinghouse, where you’ll enjoy an engaging talk on Mennonite Christmas traditions and gain insight into their unique way of life. Then, enjoy an included traditional Mennonite dinner, a true taste of the region’s heritage, before heading to the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse for a festive performance of Snow White and the Seven Tenors, a lively and entertaining musical twist on the classic tale, filled with humour, holiday spirit, and outstanding vocals.

    Day 2: St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market, Christkindl Market, Royal Botanical Gardens

    Start the day with a visit to the St. Jacobs Farmers' Market, where you can browse a festive selection of local goods, seasonal treats, and handcrafted gifts, perfect for holiday shopping. Continue on to Kitchener’s Christkindl Market, a traditional German-style Christmas market filled with twinkling lights, artisan vendors, and old-world holiday charm. After time to explore and shop, enjoy an included group dinner before heading to the Royal Botanical Gardens for their enchanting winter wonderland experience, where dazzling lights and beautifully decorated displays bring the magic of the season to life.

    Day 3: Dundurn Castle

    Enjoy a leisurely morning before departing for Dundurn Castle, where you’ll step back in time on a guided Christmas tour of this grand historic home, beautifully decorated to reflect festive traditions of the past. Following your visit, gather for a farewell group lunch, an opportunity to relax, reflect, and share highlights from your holiday journey together. With hearts full of festive cheer and lasting memories, reboard the coach for a comfortable journey home.

    Parts of this tour take place outdoors. Please be prepared for winter weather by wearing a warm coat, hat, and gloves, along with comfortable boots or shoes. Don’t forget your camera and your Christmas shopping list.


    Three of the four floors in Castle Kilbride are accessible by elevator. The attic and belvedere (cap) spaces are not accessible by elevator. There are 20 steps with sturdy handrails. For patrons that cannot make it to this area, there is a binder with information as well as a monitor that shows a video with verbal tours and captioning to show and explain what the space looks like. 


    Dundurn Castle is partially accessible for mobility devices at a maximum of 29 inches wide.
